The city of Villa Park was incorporated in 1962 and is the smallest incorporated city in Orange County. Founded in 1969, the Villa Park Women's League is the center of community activities and aims to provide support, friendship and focus for the citizens of the community. A host of recreational and social activities are sponsored for the members of the League, including bowling, bridge, gourmet, golf and more. The League's current membership is nearly 400 people, and all Villa Park residents of voting age are welcome to join.
Villa Park comprises an area of 2.1 square miles and has a population of around 6,500 residents. There are approximately 1,900 homes in Villa Park, which is 99% built out. There is one shopping center in the city, with the rest of the city being zoned for single-family residences - most of them on half-acre lots.
