Location - Yorba Linda is a community of Orange County, California located near Anaheim Hills.
Neighborhood Information - Yorba Linda is a city in Orange County and was named after a soldier from a Spanish expedition in 1769. The soldier, Jose Antonio Yorba, petitioned the King of Spain for a land grant in 1809 and received 62,000 acres. The land he received became known as Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana. Yorba's third son combined these lands with lands he himself was granted and created one of the greatest ranchos of all time.
A section of the rancho was sold to the Janss Corporation in 1907. It was then subdivided and sold for agricultural usage. The area began to grow after the Pacific Electric Railroad connected the area to Los Angeles and in 1967 the growing city was incorporated.
